Has anyone purchased any Stones CD's, SACD's, or DVD Audio with decent sound quality.
For some reason, all of my stones stuff ranges from unbearable, to just acceptable.

Can anyone recc'd a good recording?
LR Setup:
Polk RTi10's, RTi6's, CSiA6 (5 ch setup)
Onkyo 705 & Denon 3808ci Receiver, Onk 875
Parasound 2250 Amp
Sony 26" KDL series Bravia LCD
Panny DMR-EH75 Recorder
Panny DVD-F87 (5 disk DVD player)
NAD T585 (DVD/SACD)
Yamaha DVD-C961 (5 disk SACD/DVD)
SciAnt Explorer 8500HD Cable Box
Orig & 5Gen iPods, , Wii

Plans/Fantasies:
• 400 disk player that handles ALL formats, sounds as good as NAD with Panasonic interface & compatability.

Beggars Banquet, Let it Bleed, and Get Your Ya-Ya's Out all benefited nicely from the SACD thing. I bought the first Hot Rocks also on SACD, and some of the early songs benefited, some didn't.

Stripped isn't too bad...probably because it is primarily acoustic. Still doesn't compare to a lot of acoustic music unfortunately.

The best recorded Stones song I have heard is Fancy Man blues from Rarities. Great song and a good recording.....wish there was more, although I have not heard any of the sacd's.

All the Stones SACD's are better than the redbook versions. One needs to remember that the sound quailty of any release, on any format, is only as good as the master.
