Does anyone know if you can use the rear surround speaker outs on an Onkyo 603 to bi-amp fronts, in my case, rti8's? I have never bi-amped before, so would I see an improvement in sound?

bms - if it's possible to bi-amp with the 603, the manual will say so, AND give instructions.
Before I bought an amp, I'd bi-amped my RTi10's to an Onk 705. There was substantial improvement.
Others have reported little to no gain....YMMV. But to me, it's a quick cheap thing to try.
    LR Setup:
    Polk RTi10's, RTi6's, CSiA6 (5 ch setup)
    Onkyo 705 & Denon 3808ci Receiver, Onk 875
    Parasound 2250 Amp
Sony 26" KDL series Bravia LCD
    Panny DMR-EH75 Recorder
Panny DVD-F87 (5 disk DVD player)
    NAD T585 (DVD/SACD)
    Yamaha DVD-C961 (5 disk SACD/DVD)
    SciAnt Explorer 8500HD Cable Box
    Orig & 5Gen iPods, , Wii

    Plans/Fantasies:
    • 400 disk player that handles ALL formats, sounds as good as NAD with Panasonic interface & compatability.

I emailed Onkyo and they said this:

"Unfortunately the unit was not designed for the Bi Amp feature, We have newer receivers that has the Bi Amp feature. The model that would replace the current one that you have is TXSR 606 which does have the option of Bi Amp for the speakers.
    Thank you,
    Jen"

Oh well. Now I'm thinking about a Denon. I like the avr 988, 2808, or should I go for for the 2809, which is $400.00 more, but a just-released model?

    Any opinions?
