dmc-electronics has the tera labs helix 8 biwire for $5.00 a foot unterminated right now.
I'd like to run my fronts with it to see how it sounds vs the stranded stuff i have right now.
Is this a good price for the wire?
Should i look into a differant wire that would be better/just as good for same or less price?
Thanks for the help guys.

I would realy like to hear from someone who has tried the TARA LABS HELIX 8 BIWIRE SPEAKER CABLES, and the AQ type 4's. I have the AQ type 4's, and the CV4's. They are both great wires, but the Tara helix 8's look very tempting. The price at $5 a foot in bulk is plenty cheap enough.

I think i'm gonna order some of the tara labs helix 8. I need about 15foot of it to wire up my fronts then based off how it sounds i can go from there.
I seen some type 4 on audiogon and ebay so might try to get some of it as well to compare the two.
I was mainly wanting to try the Tara Labs because it's a solid core and i have not heard any solid core wire yet.

I love solid core wires in the mid grades. I have found the detail to be spot on. The bass to be hard hitting, and the mids to be very pleasent. I would love to hear your thoughts on both wires if you get to try both. I know used AQ's you could most likely recover your purchase if you like the Tara's more.

well i just placed a couple bids here and there on some type4 wire and i'll order some of the tara labs tomorrow after i measure out how much i will need for sure.
Might do the center as well and try out the front three.

Ethier way if i like ethier/both the surrounds won't get it for a while lol. Bedroom would need a total of 47 feet and the living room would need right at 70 feet.

Front stage is the most important. Seeing cash flow has never been excessive here I felt money spent on rears was a waste for me YMMV.
