Hey all. I think that I have found a great company for all your wiring, caps, home audio, battery terminials, fuses, ect. I am planning on using this wire in my install and all but 7 entries on thier ebay feedback have been positive (over 4000). They make all thier own parts and even have a 0/1 gauge wire running 5145 strands of OCF. I was wondering if anybody has used any of the knukonceptz.com equipment? If so how did you like it? To any of the guys up at Polk would you recommend using this companies products? I know that you guys install Monster, but are the Knukonceptz gear just as good? Maybe better? I am just wondering. I will say that this is the only company that I have seen that has a fuse rated for 300 amps. Take a look at the site and let me know what you think.

Well... you answered your own question.. i was gonna say "is it oxygen free copper and is it equal to or more than 4,000 strands for the 0 gauge...?" -- but u said it is, so bingo... that's not bad.. 5k strands is a good sign, and OFC is a key. so, all things equal - wire is wire, i'd go with it if its cheaper than 5 bucks per foot :o)

far as monster cable -- i'm kinda anti-monster cable ... the speaker wire is allright, but i dont like the fact that their power cable is not true american wire gauge standard... kind of irritating.

haven't used any of that companies gear, but i'm sure to check it out... thanks for the point :)

PBD you said lees than $5 a foot? Well in that case I hit pay dirt. They have thier 0/1 gauge wire priced at $2.25 a foot I believe. I am considering using knukonceptz wiring for my entire install. I was just looking for a second opinion I guess. take a look at the web site and let me know what you think (being an electrical engineer or whatever you are studing I take your recomendation very seriously as I am in law school and don't necessarily need an electrical background). I am also thinking of using knukonceptz caps in my system if needed. I think that they are 20 volt with 24v surge protection and they are digital. They sell them on thier site for about $85 each. If they are as good as the rest of thier stuff appears to be than what can I say besides BINGO!

lookin at site as we speak.. this place looks great. :)

the power wire is 4704 strand -- that's the same as fosgate and streetwires... and that's not bad company to be in at all. tinned OFC... sounds great to me... 2.25 a foot is like robbing a bank -- i paid 5.00... cheapest i ever found it anywhere was 3.75... wish i would have found this place before.

fuse holders are cheap as hell too -- not sure of teh quality, but they're even cheaper than stinger's platinum series... and they are waterproof... can't realy go wrong.

the dist-blocks and batt erminals all look good as well...

the only thing that i dont like -- and i really dont like -- is the RCA patch cable interconnects... they look like absolute garbage. Then again, i'm real picky with my RCA's... for years i've sworn buy and refuse to use anything but streetwires brand RCA's... preferably teh 3.0 or 5.0 (now 3.5 and 6.0) series... they have an inductor in each end as well as twisted pair and shielded construction.. bascially they "do everything they possibly can" to make sure you dont get noise in teh line. they're not cheap though -- retail on a 6 foot line is 65 bucks.

and thanks for the vote of confidence .. lol... most people tell me to shut the hell up...lol :)

    happy wiring !

I actually e-mail the company on thier 0/1 ga wire. On ebay they state it as the 5000 some odd stradns and on thier site they state it as the 4000 some odd strands. I asked them about it and they told me that all thier 0/1 ga wire is the 5000 some odd strands. So I guess it is a little better than the fosgate ect. They claim that it is the largest 0/1 ga wire on the market today and even claim that it outperforms monster and lightning audio 01 ga combined. So I did a little homework. I am planning on using thier wire, distrubution blocks, fuses/fuse holders, and caps in my install.

ya remember... u dont want monster... those monster caps have sand in them... i really need job at circuit city... i'd make millions of dollars confusing kids, selling them cheese (the 4 year circuit city warranty deal), and pawning off Rosco Brand subs and amps on them.

    god i love my life...

Yeah. I'll let ya know the good abad and ugly when I get done. It will prob be sometime this summer though. I still gotta buy one amp, the caps teh wire and then pay for the install. Gotta save some money now. I just got my MM10's ordered (ebay kicks some serious you know what). Got them unopened brand new for 199 apiece and 50 shipping for the two i ordered. So after I get everything installed you can look for pisc and stuff.

pay for the install? dude -- why? sure it may take you 2 or 3 or 4 days to do it, but so what? you'll save like 750 bucks.

and then u can sit on the hood (or gently lean on it since its a nice shiney Porsche) when its all done and brag about it like you just parted the Red Sea.

I am having custom kicks and everything done. There is not a stock hole in teh damn thing that will accept the MM6's without a buildout, kicks, or custome mounting done to it. As for parting the Red Sea... I'll leave that to Moses

    Hey PBD,
You won't believe my luck! It turns out that one of the guys that I work with is a certified car audio installer. He worked with some of the bigger name companies in Omaha where I live. Anyway as for parting the Red Sea this guy is going to help me do it. The only reason that he is not still installing car steros is because he had his drivers licens suspended (didn't show up for a court date he didn't know he had or some crap like that). Anyway this guy does it all. Fiberglass, dynomat, acrylic, buildouts, you freakin name it. So forget paying for the install. He and I are going to spend probally about two months worth of weekends and get the whole install done right. Start with stripping the car down and dynomating the whole thing, then work on custom fibergalss kicks. all that I really need to do to pay this guy is buy the materials and give him like $20 a day (probably some beer too) and let him use it in his portfolio (you know put his name on the project somewhere. I swear I just found my own personal Jesus Christ. :D

hahahahaha... that really is awesome,,, you totally lucked out. and i'm VERY glad to hear that you'll be in the trenches at least being the dude's gopher if nothing else... that way you get first hand looks at how the work goes... so you can be like "are you sure you have to cut that or put that there" -- you'd be surprised the **** jobs some "master installers" will do when the customer isn't looking to save time. its pretty cool of the guy to do it for/with you... nothin better in life than spending a weekend tearing apart a brand new car...lol. when i got my sport lid put on the back of my truck the guy gets out the power drill and goes "aaahhh.... nothign i love more in life than drilling into new trucks".

have fun -- and get drunk :)

cuz when you wake up the next morning and wonder why you cant hear it inside until you open the door and see your new momos install on the hub caps with a fishing reel rigged to the front of it to keep the speaker wire from tangling you might think twice before calling jack and jim your friend for a while...

How the HELL did we go from speaker and power wire to AVERAGE SIZE!!!!! How conversations change so quickly is WAY beyond my scope of reality (although my idea of reality is really kinda warped).
