SDA Midrange enclosure housing absent -Why?

Why were the midrange units on the larger SDA speakers fitted without seperate enclosure housings, the only exception being the original SDA-1 - the separate enclosure was later removed when the 1A was released. I was always told that you housed the midrange unit in a seperate enclosure to prevent the bass unit from driving the midrange. I am very happy with the 1A.1TL mod as you are probably all aware of now but I feel that I'm getting some midrange glare - what to do!

Lasareath, I know the bass drivers are powering the ABR below 100hz but what about 100hz upwards. The seperate drivers which have been asigned the bass duties below 100hz will be trying to drive the seperate midrange driver above 100hz.

There are no seperate drivers. All of the 6.5" drivers power the PR

Thats how it work's. All the MWs play into the lower bass region.
