"Oh boy?" Comments like that will do little to help, and are a cheesy way of getting your post count up. Welcome to Club Polk.

Fellows, I hear what you're saying. But that's not what I'm dealing with. Fair enough? The guy dug himself a hole, and then decided to dig a lot deeper with the public suicide note. Naturally I'm at the top of the hole, and would rather not see any excavated dirt fall on me. The suicide note? That was the result of me setting a date where I felt I had to go public. That date was still well ahead of the suicide note. One of the things I was told was "If the check doesn't get there in a couple days I'll overnight you another." Well those days came and went and he knew it. He chose to do the hari-kiri thing instead of overnighting a check like he said he would. Hell, I never told him to overnight a check. He SAID he'd do it. ****, if he would've mailed me a check in the regular snail mail the day he posted the suicide note, it'd be here by now wouldn't it?. Six days Georgia to Jersey? Piece of cake.

A few years ago, somewhere between five and nine years ago, we had a guy here who was a regular member and had an okay reputation for dealings. As it turns out, that guy screwed over, or attempted to screw over a whole bunch of guys here. Many are STILL here. Naturally, that individual was banned from here (and one of his biggest early-on supporters was recently banned!). I don't know how many other audio forums you might frequent, but there are several out there that I know of that have also banned him because of our vigilance in the matter. There are probably many more forums that our members here have had a hand in getting him banned from that I'm not aware of. We've been down this part of the road before.

Yes, fair enough. Honest communication is the key people, either live by it or don't do business.

Get square with all your moral and ethical obligations. Then the stress will go away. I'll bet there isn't anyone here that has not crossed the line at one time or another in some way during their life. Good luck and get it done and things will work out.

No joy at the mailbox today.

This indicates to me semi-concern over one's rep, but not a heightened level of concern.

Poor communication is the worse part of dealing with people over the internet. Long as they are upfront and communicate, sellers will usually let a payment wait a couple weeks.

But, yeah, it's those that openly take the item and claim to be sending payment that chap my ****. Pay up, Chuck. It takes less time to send a check than it does to create a thread like this. All this should've been handled through PM with GG. That's the only "rep" you should be worried about.

chuck will be back and pay his debts. .

Scenario 1: Buyer communicates his inability to pay because of medical bills or other major unexpected issues. He offers to return the goods.
This is an OK in my book. Everything kept private. If I am not desperate for the funds, I would let him keep the goods and pay when he's back on his feet. He does not need to leave the forum.

Scenario 2: Buyer lies (Sent check to the wrong address, moneys on the way....). No money shows up. Goes public, almost blaming people he owes :confused:
Not OK in my book. He's not welcome back.

well, dont know for sure but if the funds were for the kids, not paying for goods when the funds are for a charity is very bad juju.

I am sure someone here would buy the goods from sl but he is going to have to send them first.

Nope. I will revive this thread if there is ever a resolution here. I believe the point has been made, cat is out of the bag, rotten/Denmark, etc. etc.
