Cost effective alternatives to dual LPA-1s?

Im thinking about buying 2 7.1 amplifiers and have been eyeballing the UPA-7 and LPA-1. the LPA-1 costs about $200 cheaper for each one so if I can obtain 2 i may go that route. Are there any other amplifiers out there of equivalent power and quality for around the same price ($450 per amp)?

    Have you listened to your speakers with a solid amp such as the LPA-1 or equivalent from a good manufacturer? (Parasound, Rotel, NAD, Adcom, etc.)

    I think you'll find plenty of power with those amps, and would suggest you at least see how you like the sound with a good quality amp first. If you aren't satisfied, then you can go all out with dual amps and bi-amp to your hearts desire.
