Carver Av405 MultiChannel Amp

I picked this up from a member a few years back. Between work, housework, and the family, the amp is not getting much use at all. I hate to part with it but sometimes that's how it goes..
Amp is in 100% working condition. Cosmetically, I give it a B+ for some very minor scratches. Unit has all cover screws, however is missing two screws on the side panel toward the front (see pics; was received this way and I really don't know what they are for, don't even know if they came with the unit when new).
Specs are: 100w x 2 front, and 110w center, 50w x 2 rears. I used the amp to run my fronts and center. This amp would be a great amp for polkies with receivers looking to bump up the front soundstage.
Amp is heavy, I would say around 30-35 pounds. Measures: 4 1/4" high (w/feet), 14" deep (speaker terminals included), 17" wide
I paid $180 for this a few years back and am selling it for the same price. Of course shipping is more today than it was when i bought it so I have to take that into account.
Price: $180.00 plus shipping. My zip is 11729. Local pickup welcome.

Hi, There's a new policy and a new section over at the Carver forum for sales by newbies. Your amp will probably sell quickly at that price over there. Geoff

Just pay the man what he wants, it's not that much. The amp is worth it. -

thank you !!!;) -
Jeff,
lowballing usually isn't how we roll, I don't think its a rule, but its kind of a culture thing. I would say if your going to lowball, perhaps do it by PM..........cause lowballing in the open is probably going to bring on a little ball bustin. (of course, the fact your getting busted on by another newb is hilarious, but hey....thats just me).

It was by PM, Mike said we could work something out. So I waited a day or two with no response so I thought I would go public. Hey, I'm just tryin' to save a couple of $$'s...
I've read gdb's previous posts and it's pretty obvious he ain't got a clue:eek:
Oh well, all's well... no hard fellings. Thanks, Jeff... -

As it happens, the one clue that I do have is that when I'm offered a great deal by someone, I DON'T attempt to nickel and dime them for an even lower price!!! No insult was directed at you or anyone else here at CP, the poster stated clearly that his pricing was firm so I was trying to help him get his full price by directing him to the Carver site, where I doubt the amp would have been listed very long before being snatched up at the price asked +shipping!
I was only trying to be helpful, and while it's true that I don't know a lot about audio equipment, I'll try to be as helpful as possible to others here while hopefully gathering some of those "clues" that you feel I'm lacking.:rolleyes:Geoff -
Hey look, it was bound to happen. Everyone knows that "G" Geoffs and "J" Jeffs just don't get along.

I'm not sure about powering the LSi as I don't have an experience with the LSi series speaks.
I used the amp to power my R30's and Csi3 center with no problems (I know my speakers aren't nearly as demanding as the LSis though)Receiver: harmankardon AVR235
