In your honest opinion, and i'm sure you can tell me the difference being that you have the onkyo and a 5300, would it be worth ditching my GFA-5200 for the Onkyo? Gut says no, but i don't know much.

The onkyo is a great amp as good as my adcom 545 same power
and the onkyo playing my type of music rock sounds better.

Any of these 4 ohm stable, asking for a friend as I have no experience with these.

I know for sure that the Onkyo is not 4 ohm stable. It is 6 ohm stable.
