This director has made nothing but pure crap I can't believe this is any good. Listen to this resume: Mortal Combat, Alien vs Predator, Resident Evil 1 & 2.

I hear kids are drawn to his movies, I find them unwatchable.

Awesome... I liked all four of those movies edossin4 named on a basic "turn off the ole' thinker and watch stuff blow up" level, so I'll definitely check out Death Race. I just won't go into it expecting any Oscars to be passed out. :P

I enjoyed all those, very much so. The RE's are great zombie movies. I plan on a blind buy with this one, not really into going to the theater for it.

I finally got around to watching this, and I loved it! Good dumb turn-off-the-ole-thinker action flick with a few not-so-subtle nods to video games. Definitely worth a watch if that's what you're looking for.

My wife is in love with Jason Statham. Ill rent it to ensure I get some that night.

And Fast and Furious? Puh-leeze. Cant get excited about a bunch of CGI Honda Civics covered in neon lights running around.

I own them...they're a guilty pleasure. For some reason skinny/**** Milla turns me on.

Deathrace is a homage to Deathrace 2000 an over the top Roger Corman flick from the 70s with David Carradine as Frankenstein and Sly Stallone as one of the heavies. One of the highlights of that movie was Euthanasia Day at the hospital. They put the course thru the hospital entrance and wheel out patients for points. Of course, a mom holding a new born got the highest score.

I enjoyed this one, as an action movie, but the old one is a cult classic.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
