rm8 vs fxi3 surrounds

any thoughts on these surrounds onkyo 606 rti4 bi-amped fronts 20x13 room with left wall 3/4 open to dining room

    definately the FXI's as they are timbre matched to the RTI series.

    The FXi are superior speakers in every way, and dipole mode is very nice for surround sound movies/etc.

    I had some R15s (small Polk bookshelf) on the side, then replaced them with the FXi3 (and moved the R15s to the back in 7.1 config) the difference is night and day. The dipoles really "open up" the room. My room is very similar to yours as well.
    - Sony 50"A3000 SXRD; Onkyo TX-SR 805
    - Polk RTi150 mains; CSi30 center; FXi3 surrounds, R15 backs
    - Velodyne CHT-12 subwoofer

    thanks. fxi's are so big by comparison. i'll wait for a bargain. just picked up the black csi3 for 99. plus 18.
