Just an FYI, the models (for those that can't find when searching) are all without "T"s at the end (ie. RM302 and RM7302).... the "T" at the end of the other RM models indicate towers (ie RM 40T, RM 8000T, etc)

I posted this in another user's thread and thought you may want to know too.
    FYI,

If you get this in time, today's woot is for an RM30
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/show...ight=rm30+woot

You could order one of these, and use it as a center (you'd have to order the plastic stand from Polk + grille to have it the exact same)

    Thanks -Axle-

I'm so glad you told me about what T indicates. I've always known about ordering specific grills, but i just didn't want to get into that. How simple is it? Do I just contact Polk? And I know this is going to hurt me a little bit, but how much was the RM30 going for on Woot.com?

I believe you just have to contact them. I haven't had to do it personally but have heard that their CS is excellent.

The RM30 was going for $130+shipping at woot IIRC. Would've gotten a pair myself if they would just ship across the border.

    PTong,

I think I'm willing to part with my RM7302 (titanium) since I'm having such a hard time finding my matching L/R.

I'm not sure if you're still interested but I'll be putting it up on the marketplace next week unless you want it.

I'll be looking for $150 + Shipping which is what I paid for it almost a month ago. [http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70311]

What are you looking for as far as L/R?

This is what my system consists of at the moment:
    [FRONT L/R] RM40T
CURRENTLY NONE, BUT GETTING THE RM30
    [SURROUND L/R] RM6902
    [REAR L/R] RM6901

For the moment, I like the RM6901 & RM6902 setup for my surrounds and rears since they aren't distracting within my living room since they are titanium. I DO have a feeling that i will getting rid of my RM6902s and RM6901s so i can get all RM30s. Do you have any of the matching pewter RM series speakers? The fronts I like them being pewter since my TV has a black bezel and having the mesh on the pewter speakers very dark makes the focus area of my living room look great and sophisticated. I am really looking for an RM30 now for my center. So, I can't do the RM7203 anymore for the center..

By the way, There's a guy who posted up his RM7400Ts on Craigslist.com in Atlanta, where I live, and I haven't gotten back to him in a few months. Would you like my to check if he still has them? If you want to mount your front L/R, you can do it like I did.

[The way I set up my RM40Ts]

Tools: power drill, 1/4" bit (to make hole), and jig saw

    1. Cut out wooden planks and matched the width of the base of my speakers.
    2. I rounded out the edge that the front of the speakers touched so that it would match the curvature of the RM40Ts' base.
    3. I took off all the rubber nubs from the pegs at the bottom of my speakers to turn them into the carpet spike pegs.
    4. Placed the entire speaker over a sheet of printer paper and pushed down to punch holes using the spikes so I can get each screw holes' exact locations so I can drill them into the wooden planks.
    5. Attached the the wooden planks to the bottom of my speakers using the screw holes for the rubber pegs using #10-24 x 1-1/4" machine bolts that you can get at The Home Depot, washers and nuts that were included with the bolts.
    6. Then I flipped the suckers upside-down and slid them into a slot I cut out of my main wall where my TV is mounted. and went behind the section where my TV and speakers protrudes from the main wall and screwed the planks into the ceiling above it.
    7. So the nuts acts as a limiter against the washer and VOILA my speakers were properly leveled horizontally and are pointed towards me at the right angle.
    8. I haven't painted the wooden planks to match my wall and speakers yet but they look awesome! Let me know if you agree.
Half of the speaker is useless since it's half body and half performance since they have to be tall enough to align with ear level being towers and all. But I didn't want them to stand on the floor like they were intended to.

Wow, that's a pretty impressive set-up, I wish I had the opportunity to have my house pre-wired for the speaker IC. The most I did was drill holes in the floor in my set-up (so there's no cables going from the front to the back) and pass cables through to the back surrounds but you're on a whole different level. Kudos. As for your question, yeah I agree, the planks look very well done and don't detract at all. If you only saw them from the front I wouldn't even bother painting them but it seems like you have an entrance to the left and a railing above it where you would clearly see them and the screws. Awesome set-up.

I was actually looking for the RM50T / RM8000T (but big thanks for the offer on the 7400s) which are the same as the RM7400T but with 2 more drivers on the bottom. The reasoning behind my yearn for these was due to space and wanting a wider soundstage. Initially, I wanted to go with towers but the center channels from other series (ie CSi3/5/etc) are just monsters in front of my TV (the side profile of these look really cumbersome next to a flat panel) so I opted to follow the RMs to the top of their food-chain. The other issue bothering me was the $. Finding a used pair of RM50T / RM8000T for under $500 has proven very difficult and I feel silly spending more on them when I could easily acquire a set of RTi8s for that money (right now from eBay, $400 shipped). However, after doing a lot of looking around, I might actually settle for a "phantom center" and just buy towers.

So here I am now. I guess I'll post it on the marketplace and try my luck there. Thanks for the heads up.

    Hey stiff,

I got this from Zsolt at the same time you did and paid $150 + shipping. Given the fact that that was less than a month ago, I think it's reasonable to ask for the same. I can't make my shipping costs back but I'm willing to go for just $150 (+shipping) to have it delivered to your doorstep.

I'm open to local pick-up but I'm not sure how willing you are to go all the way to Oshawa, just an option though.
