Hey all...just purchased Polk Rm201's for my fronts and surrounds, can't find the center speaker that goes with them (the rm202) anywhere (I need it in black). I desperately need this to match the rest of my speakers. Please help! Even ebay doesn't have anythin right now except for one in pewter. If anyone in interested in selling, msg me or post here and name your price...let me know as soon as you can, as I'm looking to buy as soon as I can. Thanks again!

There's 1 or 2 other people looking for the RM302 one here as well.
Just an FYI, it doesn't come in black (odd I know, since the other RMs do).
Don't know if that affects your choice but I thought I'd let you know.
(since I might've re-thought my purchase had I known ahead of time)
I only mention it because I just got an RM7302 (same model, different color) and was thinking of spraypainting the body and ordering a black grille.... turns out, there is no black grille to order. So I thought I'll dye the grille...again, no dice, due to being a synthetic fibre the dye won't have anything to absorb to...
Again, just mentioning it in the event that it simplifies your search. -
FYI,
If you get this in time, today's woot is for an RM30

You could order one of these, and use it as a center (you'd have to order the plastic stand from Polk + grille to have it the exact same) -

thank you for both your posts...unfortunately, did not come back to the forum quickly enough to catch that deal. Interesting info. I love my rm201's...BIG upgrade over my old bose (yes, they suck, I know). Two questions for you or anyone else who would be willing to help: based on your advice, could I do the same thing with another rm201? If I found a good deal for one, would I be able to call Polk and order a new grille that would make it match the 202 in appearance as a center? Would it be the same sound quality? Secondly, I had called Polk a few days ago...and they said the RM8C would also be a match sonically for my rm201's. How are the RM8's? Would this be a big drop in audio quality over the rm202? Need some help here...I know this is the wanted section, but hey, help is also wanted here (and of course, if you ahve one of these and want to sell, please let me know!! -

Yes, the 201 and 202 are the exact same speaker. Same drivers, tweeters, size, specs, everything. The only difference is the grille orientation and the 202 comes with a surface craddle so that you can lay it horizontally. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to buy a 201 and order the 202 grille and cradle from Polk but don't take my word for it, shoot them an e-mail, they're great at Customer Service.Secondly, I had called Polk a few days ago...and they said the RM8C would also be a match sonically for my rm201's. The RM8 is now a slightly different speaker. It is the closest you'll get to a sonic match after the RM202. The biggest difference between the two is that the RM8 has smaller drivers ("2-1/2" vs "3-1/2"). The tweeter is also aligned a little higher horizontally than on the RM202, but I don't think that would affect it much. I personally haven't auditioned a pair of the 2008 RMs so I don't know if there is any audible difference between the two but I would imagine that the smaller drivers don't add anything to the width of the soundstage (over the old RMs). Sound quality should be the same (I could be wrong), its only how much "air" they fill in a room that I would imagine would be different, but again, I haven't auditioned them so I don't truly know.
My advice would be to find a 201 or 202 first, but if you can't get one and can get a good deal on an RM8, go for it.
