Can anyone identify my new speakers, I believe they are the SDA 2's. Also uppon arrival, I found the right channel tweeters not working, where's a good place to start in troubleshooting. The units have 2 side by side tweeters, 3 drivers and a passive radiator. I got these on EBAY for $127.00 AND THEY ARE VISUALLY MINT!!

    First welcome to Club Polk.
Those are the original 2's. There may be fuses on the backs of those. Were you able to check for them?
    BTW nice snag!
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

Because of that tweeter I don't think that the speaker in question are not very well love here in the Polk family.

Swap the tweeters from one cabinet to the other. If the tweeters still don't work in that cabinet, it's probably the poly switches located on the crossover.

Why's that Clyde? They are beautiful and even with the lack of right tweets, sound fantastic!

Yes, you can get them from Polk. But, if you're using a nice amp to power them, you can probably get away with bypassing the poly switches as some of us have.

Most find the old tweeters bright and beemy. The new replacement tweeters are much smoother.

Do you have the interconnect cable? The dimensional tweeters and drivers won't work without it.

In that case, replace the switches, don't bypass them.

I would suggest disconnecting the dimensional tweeter and trying them that way also. You may find them not to be as harsh.

These look just like mine except I have the silver face tweeters.

Have you swapped the working and non-working tweeters yet?

sl2000's are easy to find. Just ask here or in a WTB (Wanted) thread if it turns out to be bad tweeters.

Were the speakers shipped to you? If they were there is a very good possiblilty that the magnets broke off during shipment and are laying in the bottom of the speaker cabinet. I should know because this happened to mine last year when they were shipped via DHL.
