I’m thinking about buying the RM6880 system for my new bedroom (22’x19’). Just wanting feedback on this system and how good it is. I’m looking at a Bose 10 speaker system also. Any response on this product would be helpful.

Thanks,
Randy

I'd say that room might be on the large size for a smaller sub sat system. though if your looking at the smaller systems like that I assume it must be for a reason.

make no mistake, it will work fine and sound damn god, just dont expect extremely loud theater volume (which, sub sats across the board arent known for room size be damned)

never heard the Bose system you reference, but i find Bose generally not to be worth the huge money you they charge for it. I also find it to have a distinctive sound quality that is not...how do you say...accurate.

If you have the room, Maybe the monitor line or RTi bookshelfs might suit the size of that room better if you like louder volume. if not, the RM should be more than fine

Overpriced, poor quality, terrible sound (no highs...no lows...must be Bose)...

    Other than that...it's fine.

It is, but there are many that don't just say Polk is the only thing out there. Now after saying that Bose just flat out sucks. Salesmen ask only two questions when someone comes in to buy Bose. What color, and how many?

Very well put. Most WalMart TIB's sound nearly the same as Bose 4 to 5 times cheaper. I will say that Bose has the best advertising campaign out there.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

yes, but we are usually known for unvarnished opions comparing Polk Products to others given our genuine opinions.

of course, when the comparison is Bose, it makes it easy :D

    Randy,

Shack kind of gave you the unvarnished version.....which is 100% spot on accurate. Bose has an insane marketing budget for a reason.

I am going to have to agree with them on this one bose is Junk my father put a bose 3-2-1se system in the living room terrible my yamaha bookshelf speakers sound better than that bose does. Dont bother with them get you a nice set of anything else. It's not that were the polk forum and that is the only thing we are going to swear by there are better speakers than polks out there even.
