Didn't realize Marsh made a DAC? You might possibly regret getting rid of this little unit.

What are your plans for a source that is better than this. The Rotel cdp is a great choice if that's what you're thinking but I don't believe it will "outperform" the GDA 600 so you'll spend more money to get the same or slightly lesser performance.

You should hang on to it unti out RAS meet in a few weeks and have Doug or Aaron bring the Rotel over to compare. If you do sell it before then I'll bring my GDA over to compare to a Rotel.

    Just my .02c :)

Allright,on hold until meeting.;) My problem is I'm trying to pay cash instead of charging any part of it. That's why,not because I'm unhappy with it.

I see, you're trying to fund your most recent purchase. Just ask Penny for her shoe allowance. She doesn't need another pair of shoes..............

When she's looking at her new shoes and very happy about them, she's not paying attention to the new audio purchases showing up. I wouldn't mess with the shoe allowance ...... very bad plan :(

Bad plan indeed. I tried to go for the "I should get a motorcycle because I drive so many miles it would save on gas to work" thing like a friend of mine who I work with did. Except he left out the part of the plan that was him buying his wife a new washer and dryer before proposing such a sceme. So... I don't have a motorcycle since i left out the most important part.

I don't think I'll be able to make the get together. The next couple of months are really busy with weddings (3 of them) and bachelor parties (2 of them) and I have to travel for most of them. I'll see what I can do with my WAF in the meantime and try to free up. :)

Not having to ask permission to do what I want .......... priceless :)

Well, actually I can add up the divorce attorney's bills and put a price on it, but I really view it as an investment with a very good ROI :D

If I think of it as justifying rather than asking it makes me feel better for some reason.

With the Marsh amp, the Dodd ELP pre, and the SDA-2A's, you should be close to being in your happy place :) I don't care what anyone says, that's one fine 2 ch system  Set back and enjoy it!

That is what I need to figure out, will the DAC really matter that much with the Marsh and the Dodd in the mix?

YES, YES. It all starts with the source. Believe me I found this out the hard way a long time ago. The Marsh and the Dodd are excellent, but only as good as the signal you feed them!

I would keep the DAC for now. My Rotel CDP is in the closet as I have the new TT in that rig at the farm. The Marsh amp, Dodd pre, and Epos ELS-3 speakers make for an awesome little system with the new Pro-ject turntable and Pro-ject tubebox II SE phono-pre as the source. I can bring the Rotel CDP over if you want to compare that to the CDP/DAC combo you have.

BTW, Rockford is pretty good album shopping. The flea market on Alpine has a lot of good album dealers. I scored two almost new Nancy Sinatra LP's at the Goodwill south of McChesney Park mall last Saturday. I have to finish my record cleaning setup the next time I get shop time at the farm.

Words of wisdom,, Source, source and,,,source,,,the man is telling you something based on firsthand experience, I'd keep the Adcom and proceed with your plan. I believe the end result will be a very sweet 2 ch system with quality components that will knock your socks off, Good luck and 'njoy:)

How can I let it go with all of my trusted sources telling me to keep. I'll probably find something else to sell.

Thanks to George,Brock and Doug for the lil' slap to remind me it's a great piece and not to sell just because.

    BTW......The Marsh has landed!!:D:D:D:D
