My 2 channel sytem so far consists of
adcom 500II pre amp
adcom 555 amp/adcom545II
polk lsi 9's
I am in need of a good cd player to go along with this setup. My bugdet is $600 max
I seen the thread (best cd players under 1K) and was wondering would the
setup I currently have work good with any of those cd players.
I like the tube gear but know absolutely nothing about them.

A used Jolida which is a tube output player can be had for $500.00. If you are not interested in SACD you probably can not do any better for under $600.00.

Would the adcom setup i have work good with the jolida or should I go all tube gear
pre and amp. -
I had an Adcom 500 Pre/tuner, and for me it was too edgy. I think this is where Adcom got a bad rep for their amps being grainy. With a tubed player I think this would work well with your Pre. The Adcoms I have tried have bass impact in spades. I personally think it would work well. Hopefully others will chime in.

The Jolida would be a nice compliment to you Adcom gear.

Well if that ain't an opportunity to try nice gear, and flip for a profit I don't know what is. Local pickup you can test it too. Shoot cable test op too...
