Opinions on accurately recorded soundtracks

I need opinions from 'the big guns' now.
Whats a quality recorded classical CD soundtrack?

For a year now I have been content with my basement HT audio setup until I watched the movie 'Master and Commander'.
The violin/cello duet by the captain and the doctor at the end of the movie had me in goosebumps. I couldn't get enough.
So now I have been bit by the bug you all mention so often, and my checkbook looks to be seriously assaulted.
But before I dive into this, I would like opinions of clean tight recordings to 'tune' with out of the gate.
Thanks for any help
Scott

    Amadeus.

Thanks guys. Amadeus looks like a very good movie in addition to the music. Is there any noticeable quality differences in the movie dvd vs. the music soundtrack? Or are these likely just excerpts from the original.
