Toshiba HD-XA2 refurbished

This is a great player that I just can't justify keeping. Everyone one knows the accolades. Reon upscaling for regular DVD's, best available outside of Realta. Best HD-DVD player ever made. Bitstreaming of Dolby TrueHD. THIS HAS FIRMWARE 2.7, which is the best available. The newer firmwares only made the upscaling worse.
I'm the second owner, the first purchased the refurb directly from Toshiba. It's in near perfect shape with 2 minor flaws. The first is a faint mark (not a scratch into the metal) on the bottom front of the face (shown in one picture). The other is a set of 3 small pinpoint marks that were covered with a Sharpie (also shown in a picture). These are only noticeable up close.
It will ship in original box with manual, remote, power cord. Pics in following posts.
Will trade for an HD-A2 shipped + $120 or sell outright for $275 shipped and Paypal'd.

Second set of pics...the last two pics show the flaws. Like I said, not very noticeable from the front.

If I didn't have 2 A35's already, I'd jump on it.I should've listened way back in 2008, they told me I'd go broke... they were right

In case anyone was wondering about the firmware differences, you can check AVS forum in a bunch of different threads or for a more concise reveiw, http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/hreview_hdxa2030207.html

Monday bump on this.
Unless you have a Denon 2930, 3930, 5910, or an outboard scaler, this will be an improvment to your SD DVD upscaling. Just throwin that out there. -
$255 SHIPPED

Just to let everyone know, I'm going to give this until Friday, then off to Audiogon:(

If you're a well-established member here, I even take interest-free payment plans!

Hmmm, keep the LG BH200 that I just picked up (again) or pick up a used refurb XA2... for lots cheaper.
Got a 40gb PS3 for BR duty anyway....

I'm here if you decide to go with the best regular DVD upscaling of them all. Better hurry before it gets sucked up on Audiogon on Friday;)
And if anyone seriously wanted to do a layaway plan on this, I'd work with you. I just need this thing sold. -

Sorry everyone, I'm no longer looking for a trade for another HD-DVD player. Looking to sell outright. However, I would trade for other nice gear. Looking for a decent DAC. Other offerings welcome as well.
