LSi9's - Do they go ALL the way? (not ****)

OK - Barely setup but already having serious LSi pangs. Can't afford full set but... considering runing a pair of LSi9's off Speaker's B from my Parasound Amp. (Speakers 'A' would be disabled)

So here's the question: Can SAFELY run the 9's without sub (obviously would have to be set as large)

The spec's would NOT seem to indicate this as ideal,(Overall Frequency Response 38Hz - 27kHz
Lower -3dB Limit 50Hz)

but many folks have said they do this.

Yes, but bass response will vary upon the room and placement.

Music should be pretty good. You will probably want to add a sealed sub later if music is your main goal;)

if you are going to use it for HT, be careful - there is only so much Xmax those 2 5.25" will travel...

You'll be fine. Go for it. Add a sub later if/when funds allow.

Until then, you should still get great performance for movies and music.

Probably should explain: I'd be using the LSi9's exclusively for music (mostly classical).

Reason for my concern: I've been told that it's bad to send out of range frequencies to speakers, since it can damage the coils.
I generally listen at quiet levels and never jack up the bass. BUT orchestral music often contains sudden large bursts of sound - frequently in lower registers.

PS: connected your cables to my SACD player last nite, (after a week of training in my BR) they sound gawgeous.

A sealed sub is exactly what it implies. A sealed enclosure. AKA: No port.
Just a cube and a woofer.
