got RROD on my 360 after about a year of freezing up.

no way in hell am I buying another one to reward Microsoft for making a piece of crap. Maybe in a few years when some non-pc exclusives pile up I'll buy a model that works and isn't as loud as my AC. Till then I will enjoy my PS3.

have you even tried contacting MS? My buddy got the RROD about a year and a half after buying his 360 and they sent him a prepaid box to ship it to them and 3 weeks later he had a new box. worth a try isnt it?

I have a banned XBox with modified firmware that is slowly going down the road of RROD, if anyone is interested in this let me know. I had it sent out for the xclamp fix, and I think the effer did it wrong, and I just don't want to deal with it anymore.

Its a DVD firmware modification. If you do torrents, then you would be set to do the "other" stuff.
