If you had a question for Mr. Bob Carver, what would it be? Serious questions will be answered by the man himself. Just thought that I would throw it out there for any Polk Forum members. FYI, he will be attending this year's Carverfest and will be hosting a Q&A session to answer any questions that you may have.

This is NOT a joke!

You have until September 5th to ask your questions and please keep in mind that some questions may hold proprietary information, therefore it may not be able to be answered.

Why the hell did you put your name on Sunfire gear?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

He indicated in a recent TAS interview that D-Class amps could never sound good as they are today because of some issue easily explained by physics. I want to know his explanation.

If I could get a TRUE answer for my question that would be awesome, but I dont think he could answer my question without bias.

Back in the heyday of monster speakers and experimenting with " Super " imaging.....did he think he had the better implementation with his electronics based Sonic Holography technology, or did he feel Polk had a better implementation with their speaker based SDA technology ?

I think if we could shoot some truth serum into the man, THAT would be an awesome discussion. :D Hell, it would be fun to give some of that same serum to Mr. Polk and hear what he had to say.

I LOVE all my new Carver stuff on pure functionality, but I keep the Sonic Holography circuits turned off on my C-16 even when NOT using them with Polk speakers.

I honestly think Polk had the better technology and implementation ( I would/will say the same thing on the Carver forum as well :p )

Yes. Ask him if he has seen your boy Ray's 12 year old schoolgirl act. If not, he ought to be real impressed.

I would ask him about the infamous “Carver challenge” and if he could do it over again; what would he do differently?

    My question would be:

When Carver made the Silver Seven tube amps, according to an interview in Stereophile at the time, he didn't expect to sell many of them and lo and behold, the demand for them was very high.

Would he consider building, as a production model, another statement tube amp and, if so, how would it differ from the Silver Seven.

    #2

Back when Carver was building the transfer function modified amps (the ones that matche the transfer function of other, more exotic, amps) what was the null point that was achieved in production.....and did that null stay pretty consistent over time.

    Thanks,

Ok, last chance to ask him a question. After today, you have lost your chance.
