    Then

    NAD 7400 receiver (bridged)
    NAD 2400 amp (bridged)
    Pioneer PD-M426 CDP
    Pioneer CT-W603RS cassette deck
    Polk 1.2TL
    AR Pro patch cords
    Original Monster Cable

    Now

    System 1

    Denon AVR-5803A
    Pioneer PD-M426 CDP
    Pioneer CT-603RS
Sony POS turntable (why or why did I buy it)
    D-Link DSM-520 HD audio/video media server
    Polk 1.2Tl
    AR Pro patch cords
    Monster toslink
    Monster XP cable

    System 2

    Pioneer SX-1080
    Pioneer PL-115D turntable
    Pioneer CT-F9191 cassette deck
    Wollensak 8050A 8-track recorder/playback deck
    Akai 4000DS Mk-II r2r deck
    Pioneer CS-5 speakers
    Polk 1.2TL
    Pioneer patch cords
Akai din 2 RCA patch cord
    Monster XP cable

I think that covers it. On the second system I've tried to keep it as it would have been used when it was new. The only thing I updated was the speaker cable since I had lots of it sitting around.

It had no dust on it for awhile. Then it did. Then it didn't. Then it had dust on it again. Then it didn't once again. Then more dust appeared again. Then it wasn't there again just like before. Dust re-appeared. Dust was gone.

Lets see. 5yrs ago a 5 year old HT system bought new 10yrs ago. Recently given to my neighbor as my Wife and I hardly ever watch TV anymore and the HT system hardly got used.
I unpacked my two channel system and set it up and I've been happy ever since. Two channel is Kenwwood KA 405, KD 500 TT, 6 Disk CD player DP-M98 and a Marantz PDM 500 Cassett deck and a Technics ST K50 tuner all playing thru Polk M5jrs.

I had bigger more powerful systems but this remains my favorite.

In the last five years I have come from mid-fi to hi-fi.

    Receivers to amps and pre-amps.

New surround sound to vintage 2-channel.

    Digital to vynil.

Man they had it all figured out a long time ago!
