R50's

Hi there
I now have an old RM6200 5.1 set up that I would really like to start upgrading.
Fry,s has the R50's at a seemingly good price,so I am considering picking up a pair to use as my fronts until I get (afford) something a little more respectable for the fronts and move the 50's to the rear.
Would I be better starting off by replacing the center first because the center I have now will truly sound like crap, or will it do for now and make a new center next in line on the upgrade list?
I am researching new receivers so this is why the budget is rather tight on the speaker purchase. Running an HK 225 right now,but want to be able to
enjoy the HD audio decoding.

Can you afford the RTi8's from Fry's at $150 each? These along with the CSi3 from jr.com for $120 would make a great HT system. It depends on your room size and a myriad of other factors.

I bought the R50's too. They are nice but if you are planning on upgrading away from them someday then I would skip them.

    Welcome to Club Polk!!

I also agree with Max. If you can swing it. It would be a great start.
