WTB: 2 Channel amp

Looking for a friend, and need a solid 2 channel amp. He wants to drop around 200-250, so obviously it won't be top of the line. I would love to get 200watts per channel, but is that reasonable?
Anybody have any suggestions on a good amp in this price range?
Thanks guys.

I have an extra HK 2000 that is a very flexible, great sounding amp that I picked up from RuSsMaN. I just keep buying more expensive stuff. It would be WELL under your target price range, not up to your 200 watt range, but well within your desired quality of sound range.

Daboyz has nice Adcom 545 in the FM. I went through it, and it has a clean bill of health. Specs are all below service manual specs.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

I will ask if this one will work. Might be a tad higher priced than he wants, but it has the power for sure. Let me get back with ya.

Yes the amp works great ( except the 3rd channel....... LOL.....)
If there is another polkie in my area I could have him take a look at it just to verify the condition for you.

Sorry for the super slow responses... haven't been getting online much lately. So this is a 3 channel amp that only 2 channels work on it? I did some research and couldn't find anything that said it was a 3 channel amp. Still waiting for a reply on the price, it may be a little above his range. I will let you know as soon as I find out.
Other than that, it got great reviews for an amp.Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

I think he is moving forward with the NAD. It will fit his bill nicely, and not a bad price either.
Thanks though man. How are the 8's treating ya? Still have your grill's over here collecting dust You gotta hear these 12's sometime too!Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

No prob - I'm sure he will be very happy with the NAD amp.
The 8's are still sounding real nice and I'm very happy with them. I had a chance to demo the VM20's, and I don't think the VM20's had any advantage over the 8's (other than size). I got a new amp (Emotiva LPA1) and it has made the 8's sound even better. At some point I'll write up a review on everything.
Totally forgot that the grills are still over at your place! Some day I'll work out a time to come pick them up ... but I'm not worried about it at all. I'm sure your 12's are still rocking your house!!My HT
