Denon DVD 2900

I bought this about a month ago to hold me over until I could get what I really wanted. Well.... Its time to get a Jolida CDP and this has to go.

Heres the thread were I bought it. You shuold be able to get all the information you need from it.

I would like to get what I paid for it. Which was $190 shipped.

That is a good price! But it's sometimes bleak on the forum for universal players. I could barely sell my Pioneer DV-59avi for $200 shipped a month and a half ago(I thought it was a pretty good deal). But these Denons have build quality second to none. Someone should definitely pick this up.

It actually is a great player.

I don't think you could do to much better in SQ for the price.

I thought it was a little lack luster at first. But Solid Squal came over last nite and I found the biggest problem was my speaker positioning. After he helped me get my speakers positioned where they should be it really made the rig come together. I thought all my problems where with the Denon. I was wrong. With everything set up correctly it really sounds great.

After listening to it again today I am really in no hurry to sell it. I am actually quit satisfied with the sound.

He also brought over his Raysonic CDP last nite also. And there was a pretty big difference. So because of that I know what I am missing from not having a really good source. Hence the sell of the Denon.

But if doesn't sell to quickly thats fine. Because I am enjoying it quite a bit right now with the Denon.

Sorry to all the others. But nobody really stepped up to the plate. I feel bad about how it all went down. But in the end I gave as much patience and respect as I could. I just needed to move it. No hard feelings.

I don't think I'll ever do a dibs thing on anymore of my for sale threads. It will be a first come first serve kind of thing from here on out.

well gwh,
I had pm'd Nick last night asking if he had the manual / remote.
In the meantime Avalon posted his 'pm sent' on the thread here and sent seller an email.
I had already crashed for the night, and the seller listed the interested parties list, so this morning I was being nice and doing the right thing by deferring to Avalon if he wanted it.
By rights and club polk rules, the unit should have sold to him if he definitely wants it. Nick was allowing me first choice but really it was Avalon's if his pm last night was "I want it"
If Avalon deferred back to me, then I would have taken it.
Not sure any of us who inquired last night knew there was a rush or that it would sell to a different member.

Sorry OldSyc if you were waiting for me to respond. I e-mailed the seller last night and he said he thought it was sold and he'd let me know if it didn't go through. I never thought to check the forum until just now to see you were waiting for my reply. I don't know the protocol, but once I start PM'ing a buyer/seller, I rely solely on PMs to hash out details and the negotiations, not the forum. I PM'd Nick around 5:30 PM to see if anything had changed from last night and then I went to dinner. Bad timing on my part as I missed the whole event. No hard feelings on my side. I hope there's none out there towards me. Peace!
