Just picked it up for the 360 in the collectors edition, something I don't normally do, but was intrigued by the Head Coach 2009 game that was included. Anyone else get it for any system?

My boys (10 and 12) have been fanatics since Madden 06.

My oldest just got Madden 09 yesterday and has been playing it non-stop on our PS3 (which means dad [me] can't watch BD movies for awhile! :( ]

Picked it up yesterday. Marked improvements in some respects, but other parts were rather disappointing.

From my 2 games of playing so far:

    Likes

1.) Graphics look much better. More realistic player movement, etc. Very impressive.

2.) I love the "adjust to your skill level" difficulty option. As I get better at the passing or run game, the D toughens up. Can't beat that!

    Dislikes

1.) Commentary! I like Collinsworth and all, but after 2 games I already have a good idea what he's going to say before he says it. Waaaaaaaay to repetitive; they should look to MLB 08 The Show for how commentary should be done.

2.) Lock ups! I have had the game freeze twice on me, as have several friends that also picked it up yesterday.

3.) Lock ups. Incredibly infuriating, but hopefully something that will be remedied with a patch soon.

Got my copy for PS3 at midnight on Tuesday from Wal-Mart. I like this years version alot...the feature that I like most is the skill level meter that is displayed after each game. Nice feature, that gives you an idea of what aspect of your game you need to step up your skills. Graphics are nice too. Same old repetitive commentary as usual. I am playing on all pro now, and will go to all-madden next week. Got to get ready to play online with the head bussas. By the way, the EA server SUCKS! It keeps saying "server not available try back later." Other than that, its all good.

Which system? I haven't had that problem yet. I thought there was some graphical glitch in the endzone when you score a touchdown on the 360, but it turns out that's where you need to do your celebration dances. :p

I thought the graphics were a little weak, but maybe that's just me. The achievements are stupid easy for this version of the game. I think I have like 275 in 2 hours of playing. Overall it's good fun.

PS3 here. And I didn't realize you got to choose TD dances either :o

Hopefully a patch is already in the pipeline....

I thought the graphics were good actually, except for rainy games. A bit tough to see what's going on, but it is neat to see a benchwarmer come in with a nice clean white jersey when the rest of my team looks like a bunch of mud wrestlers.

I'd also like more flexibility with franchise mode in regards to ticket pricing, merchandise, etc (like MLB 08), but overall so far so good.

I do not care for the adaptive difficulty system. The game was fun once I turned that off.
