Yeah, that Shanling has major coolness factor. I've read that their stuff is pretty good, not any experience with it though. Looked to be a good price as well considering whats there.

I went ahead and ordered a DTC 9.8 (at a can't pass up price) to round out my HT set-up this morn. So once (if) I sell my Paradigms and that puppy is still around (and I've done more research) it may be what I go with to start up a 2 ch rig.

I do like that Shanling. Ask Trey he has a Shanling.

Just FYI, the Shanling that Trey has was very, very close to the Rega Apollo when using the analog outs. The Shanling had a little bit more texture to the voices and an ever so slight improvement of detail at the top end, but I do mean "slight".

If you get it, I would recommend getting the stock tubes out ASAP.

Thanks. I'm going to give those guys a ring and ask some questions about it. I really love the look, but the sound is of course the most important factor. What do you think about the price? Seems pretty good to me, for what it is.

I used to have a Shanling CDP and I loved it. If I had an ipod I would jump all over that thing. And in regards to the tubes, I much preferred the SS analog outs.
