Sold Denon, now what? no HT..!

My friend came over and made me an offer I couldn't refuse on my old Denon. So I sold it, now what? We watch a lot of movies... I am the only one that is particular about the way it sounds.
Here is some background... LS-90's front, CL350ls center, and Monitor series 2 but soon to come, modified M8t's for rears.
Current amp setup Adcom GFA-555 w/Dayton sub amp that powers my BFD Table Tuba sub.
I would like to go with separate amps and HT preamp... but which pre? I don't think I need 7.1 with a 14'X17' Living room. And all this on an extremely tight budget!!
Any help appreciated, Thanks , Jeff...
Thanks, Jeff...

You can get a used Outlaw 950 real cheap on audiogon as a pre. They don't have HDMI, but you can shoot that direcely to your display. What is your buget? HK's make a good receiver that can be used as a pre also.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

Budget..? it's more like an allowance! $200-$400 is max until I sell the Mustang.
I almost bought an Onkyo 606 and said the hell with it!
    Thanks, Jeff...

A used Rotel RSP-1066 or 1068 may be a good choice for you.
