Hookup questions: S8 and RW-10D

Weird, potentially extremely stupid question:
I've always used the LFE output with my subwoofers. I'm not going to have that option any longer.
All of my subwoofers have the High Level input jacks on the back, to run the speaker wire to from the source. How exactly do i hook those up? None of them have the output jacks to run the wires from the sub, to the fronts in my 2.1 setup.
The instructions in the manuals for both the S8 and the RW-10D don't really help. They just say run the left and right +/- from the front/main output from the source. They don't go any farther than that.
Do i double up on the wires from the amp? In this case, run two sets of wires from both the right/left channels, one set to the sub, and one set to the VS-25s?
I'm confused. How do i run these things without an LFE?
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Hello,
The speaker level connections to the sub-woofer are a parallel connection with the speaker wires going to your main speakers. This means you can make the connections anywhere from the receiver, to the sub-woofer to the speakers themselves. If you have enough connection space on the receiver then place two pairs of wires into the back of the receiver. Then send one pair of wires to the sub-woofer and a second pair of wires to the speakers.

So you're saying that i've got two choices:
1) Double up on wires coming out of the reciever's front channels, so i will actually have TWO wires coming out of positive and negative each, for both left and right channels. So... i would have out of the right channel, one pair going to the sub +/-, and one pair going to the right VS-25 +/-. Same for the left. So instead of 4 wires normally coming out of the receiver/preamp outputs, i'll have 8.
2) Run the normal 4 wires directly to the sub, and run wires from those 4 input wires, back out to the left/right VS-25s.
That makes sense. I think i like option 1 a little better. Less mess.
Thanks a lot for your help!I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Hello,
That is correct, either way is correct.

Concealer, that is exactly why I was, even up until Saturday, reluctant to let go of the MartinLogan Dynamo that I was comparing to the Klipsh. In my HT rig the Klipsch won out, but I still liked how the Dynamo had an RCA level input, actually it had an RCA input for LFE, and one for each L & R. More importantly, it also had RCA L & R outputs. (it also had some speaker level connections but I never check ed to see if they were ins or outs)
At one point in one of my simple setups, I ran my ipod directly into the sub, then from the sub out to my amp, then to my speakers. I was able to setup a very simple 2 channel setup and still have a sub without y-splitting the signal, and without even having a preamp involved. Worked and sounded good, but that was only a temp solution since I didn't have pre then.
Damn-I was going to move my Klipsch down to the 2 channel setup when I got an upgrade for the HT rig. Crap-I am definately not hooking it up that way-that has got to degrade signal quality somehow, no?
Can't you take a preamp level out from L or R of the 2 channel rig and run it to the LFE in? Or perhaps you need a preamp with a sub out?? I swear I recently saw one of those somewhere.____________________

In all honesty, i haven't noticed any real downside to running it this way, besides it may not looking all that pretty. I haven't noticed any issues with sound, and i've compared it directly running the same speakers in a 2.1 setup off my Oinker utilizing the LFE. The Onk doesn't sound too good to me on the VS-25s, so that may be bias on my part.
But from a pure look at the sub only, i couldn't notice any negative changes.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.
