Anyone playing this? I played the demo. One question...
What exactly makes it okay for this game to borrow SO MUCH from the Mario franchise? I realize its a different game, but there are so many similarities. Beyond just a tip of the hat or a tribute to Mario games.

Many aspects of the game are meant to be homages to Mario. The game doesn't borrow them so much as pay tribute to them while also expanding that simple gameplay concept in a new way (i.e. what the game does with time)
A friend and I were discussing it last night, actually, and he described it as an existentialist version of Mario (both in mechanic and story). It's fairly brilliant. Microsoft may get 1200 of my magic space bucks soon, 'cause I really want to see the other worlds.Equipment list:
