Your logic and fact free assertion aside, this is NOT the place for political discussions. It leads to nothing good.

If you want to bash (or praise) the President, there are any number of places you can do that on the internet.....take it to one of those places. Clear enough?

Gas prices are going down because enough candy **** politicians are FINALLY calling for drilling here in the US. Bush removed his ban on offshore drilling and almost immediately the price dropped $10. And with more and more Congressmen calling for it and McCain finally coming around and even the Messiah, Obama, begrudgingly agreeing to some drilling its creating the promise of more supply in the future and hence the price comes down. Now once we actually get started drilling and in a couple years when that oil starts to hit the market it will come down even further.

Also, due to the ridiculously high price, demand is down and that is also lowering the price.

And I have to respond to the completely idiotic notion that Bush or hell Exxon for that matter is controlling the price. Even if they wanted to they couldnt. We're talking about a GLOBAL market with millions of people and hundreds of different countries that generally hate each other involved.

All the major oil companies combined control 5% of the worlds oil supply. Thats it. How can you control anything with only 5% interest??

Congress has held literally hundreds of investigations and hearings into the oil companies and HAVE NEVER NOT ONE TIME EVER found them guilty of any wrongdoing. And with a Democrat controlled Congress who have demonstrated time after time that theyd gladly sacrifice success in a war if it meant "sticking it" to Bush, they have never come up with one single solitary shred of evidence he's doing anything wrong much less illegal.

And for all the left wing nuts out there, remember this one little tidbit - oil climbed to its highest point in history and at the fastest pace ever in history with a DEMOCRAT controlled Congress.
