Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with these. They look OK, and the price is right. But are they any good??

I had a couple of the earlier revs XSub12...a very decent budget sub. Last Xmas I bought their CSX 15 for my son and did a mini-review on AVS. A friend bought the CSX 12 for his dad after hearing the 15. The CSX15 is pretty darned musical with very good output above 30hz and a shallow rolloff down to 16hz. It's not a bottom dweller, but does a great job for < $400. The CSX12 hits harder in the midbass, but has little output below 25hz...not as articulate though. I'd rate the CSX12 above the Bic H100, which I'd rate above most of the Polk enty level subs.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

^^ Thanks for the info, I'm thinking about getting one for my tube amp setup to reinforce the bottom end a little bit.

How would the CSX-15 compare with VTF-1 or SVS PB10?

Quite well...the PB10 and probably the VTF 1 will have a flatter response from 20hz -30hz, but will lag a bit in output above 30hz. I've heard both the PB10 and the CSX 15 again recently. Articulation is very similar. All good choices. If you want the most bottom grunt get the PB10. It's a remarkable performer for a 10" sub in medium to small rooms and doesn't seem to lose much ground in large rooms that should bring it to it's knees.
