Hi,
I just got a set of RM6800 and have decided to connect them through the LFE connection. I was wondering if anyone had any luck connecting with y cable or is it better just to go through one channel?
Also the instruction illustrate hooking up the left and right speakers through the sub. I've looked for an argument for this and have been unsuccessful. Any one know why?
thanks

First welcome to Club Polk. Second using a y adapter is just fine. Stick around this is a great place to learn.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

even i have same system, i just connected single sub cable to the left channel on Sub
works fine for me. -
Using a Y adapter can increase your sub volume a few db higher which is also the same as increasing the gain. In short, you may or may not use a Y. It is only a matter of personal preference.

It rely is a debatable subject weather it helps or not but from what I have seen heard and read. It does not help what so ever. But if you feel better knowing that both input are connected by all means use a y adapter.HT setup
