I'm to show up at the hospital @ 745am. My slot is 1045am. I found out they will be working on 3 disks and not just the one. I just need to sign som papers when I arrive as I am getting a private room this time, I can't be with other people, last time they drove me nuts. Anyway, hope you guys take care of this place. Talk to you guys in a while as my stay is either 1-2 days.

Thanks everyone. It's so strange cause I'm so busy doing things that I normally would do but won't be able to for a while, like check the tire pressure and top up all fluids, changed the HVAC filter, made sure the batt. is charged on the lawn mower. (Those are some o the chores I do, Yes my wife can do them and will have to for a while, but I'm doing as much as I can for her now).

Once I'm feeling OK , to those interested in my gear we will talk then and you will have dibbs again. There was just no way for me to take care of business and be sure all at the home front is A-OK before I'm down for the count.

Well, I'm back ! So it's been 3 weeks today since the surg. This is the long and hard part (yes I know what I just wrote). I am limited to what I can do, I can walk as much as I want, providing I don't get sore. I am only allowed to sit 3x day for meals or 3x day 45mins. The rest of the time I am to lie down or be walking. I am going crazy, I am almost sick of my system as I think the TV and such is on for about 16hrs a day. I have watched so many TV shows series, movies and well even sports ( for those who don't know me well, I'm not a big sports watching fan cept Hockey (only the Sens) Xgames) I watched tonns of Beijing games.. I can't read as I can only do it lying down and my arms get numb...My Monster 3600 can't seem to hit 120 and seems to be steady @ around 116-115 and I have seen it as low as 110 (when A/C) is on and this is driving me nuts to figure out why, but I can't really be bending. It's on it's on dedicated line.. anyway, I'm slowly coming off the narcs, which seems to be taking for ever. I tried cold turk. but went into crazy withdrawals. So slow and steady wins the race I guess.

Glad to hear you're coming around.

I have 2 bulging disks, 2 herniated disks, and a pinched nerve, plus tendinitis in my shoulders, so I can imagine what you're going through.

    Best of luck.

Well I can't lift more than 10lbs for another week, but after that it's not as though I can go lift 100lbs. I can start driving next week, sitting , taking a bath (which will help when I start feeling crappy from no taking meds), I can now go swimming in a pool or lake (again next week). I don't go back to work till after my follow-up which is the 24 Sept. Physio is only to start after that date as well. As crazy as it sounds I can't wait to go back to work. I have not been social in the past year... Only family and the odd friend would come by to visit.

Thanks every one for the recovery comments.

Face- Yikes, man you need to get that stuff fixed. After my surg. they told me they almost had to fuse the 2 bones, on one hand I'm happy they didn't but on the other I wish they had then I would not have to have a poissible 3rd surg. if something is to happen.
