Hello,

Just spoke to Polk CS and they have no remaining parts for my RTA-12's - after a couple moving companies have moved my beloved friends around the plastic standoffs for the wire support frame have cracked and broken (badly)

I can super glue them - but I'd really prefer new ones - anybody know where I can get my hands one some?

Thanks!

Would you be able to use any of these grill-guides? They have worked before for people with the regular grills, so they might work for your tophats too.

Thanks, Zingo - but that's not quite what the issue is... On the RTA 12 the tweeter arrays are on top (and outside of) the driver cabinet and Polk built this cool (albeit fragile) frame of plastic standoffs (about 3" high) one in each of 4 corners attached to a piece of MDF. on top of these plastic standoffs is a metal wire "squared ring" that creates a framework to wrap with speaker cloth. In essence a very airy and open "box" that sound can easily pass through. in my case, these standoffs have become brittle and have been destroyed by the movers. I'm hoping to get new ones. Polk CS was no help.

You'll have to make or have someone make new pieces for the frame.

Oh got ya russ. I was thinking of another part that turns out to be no help to you. :p I know you mentioned superglue, but what about pinning them and using a plastic epoxy?

Hmmm..... The epoxy is an interesting idea - worth a shot. Otherwise I'll have to what F1nut says - I'm hoping not, I'm not the worlds best fabricator :-)
