does anyone have heard the new mobile monitor?

my roomate wants to buy a component system for his civic so i obvioulsly recomend him polk audio, and i show him the new mobile monitor.

the problem is that the MM are 6 3/4, so maybe a MOMO should be better since are 6 1/2, but is it a big difference in SQ?

also what do you think of this amps for the component system?

the alpine can be bridged in to a 150 x 2 at 4 ohms and have a nice crossover

    MOMO & MM have ~ same cut out/ mounting hole 5" for the 6 1/2-6 3/4
They have added "line drawings" to most of the 12 volt product info on the site...

I was just looking at the specs on the mobile monitor subwoofers. It states that they have 1 inch of xmax or 25 mm of xmax. If thats correct these baby's should get loud as hell. The sr series subs have 0.64 xmax or 16.25 mm of xmax.

    Ugh.

xmax is not the only deciding factor on output levels.

The large diameter coil contributes to the high bass output and high power handling of the driver (700 Watts Continuous, 1400 Watts
Peak). In order to allow long linear movement of the cone, the winding width of the coil is 40mm and double ceramic magnets 1-3/8
inches (36mm) thick are used. The SR 10" and the SR 12" woofers boast a mechanical excursion limit of over 65mm (around 2-1/2") and
an Xmax of 16.25mm, over 1mm longer than one of our closest competitors and over 2.3mm longer than another similarly priced competitor.
Xmax is a measure of the one-way limit of linear travel of a cone. A woofer with an Xmax rating of 13mm means that the cone
can travel a total of 26mm from furthest back position to furthest forward without undue distortion. It is a crude indicator of the undistorted
excursion limits of a driver. Why is that important? How loudly a driver plays is a function of the diameter of the moving element
(cone) and the excursion (how far the cone travels back and forth). A smaller diameter cone can play as loud as a larger diameter
cone if it can move a longer distance. Stated another way, a 10-inch woofer with a 16mm one-way linear excursion would have a peak
    output of 112dB while a 12 inch woofer with a 10mm one-way linear excursion would output 111dB.

brain overload!!!...on another note...I want the Mobile Monitor 6x9's. Anyone willing to trade them for a brand new pair of Momo 6500 components?
