I searched but nothing came up, only for 28 Weeks Later. This was given to me as a gift on Blu so first, I'll start with the PQ/SQ...

What a steaming pile of ****, the worst blu-ray disc I've ever viewed, it's so bad it cannot even compare to 90% of my SD-DVDs, it's that bad. Sound was decent but nothing very exciting either. My guess, cheap-o director who wanted to hide the fact it's low budget, he wanted a big looking movie on a shoe-string budget. Blur out the images, throw in lots of film grain and shoot the film on a handy-cam from Best Buy. The image quality is so bad it was a constant distraction throughout the film.

The movie itself, good, nothing great, I was more entertained with Doomsday, far more entertained. Good acting in this but that's about it. No scary, not intense and nothing really note worthy at all.

This is a blu disc I'll be trading / selling, it's just too painful to try and watch.

Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

28 Days Later, was only shot in SD 480p. That would explain the minimal upgrade in PQ. There was a thread over at AVS some time ago discussing why it would have even been transferred over to BD, I haven't seen 28 Days Later on BD myself, not that big of fan of the series, But I'm sure that the PQ has to be alittle better than than the SD DVD version, and surely the DTS-MA track is an improvement over the SD version, right?

The audio IS an improvement, the PQ, not so much, it does look worse then the majority of my SD-DVD's, seriously! The image is completely blurry, there's no detail in anything and EE is everywhere, terrible, terrible PQ. It's some of the worst I've ever seen.

If I remember correctly this was shot with digital media instead of film making it one of the first major releases to use that then new medium. I checked IMDB for a note but found very little to go with.

    I think you're right.

This is probably one of my favorite horror flicks of all time. It's too bad to hear the HD version sucks so much. Was looking forward to picking it up for the PS3.

I definitely have it in my top five.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Just to make sure you read my post correctly, which by your post you did not. My quote above is in reference to the actual image quality, not the movie itself.

I liked the alternate endings as well...

Don't know about the quality, but I liked the movie itself

I thought it was great. They did well with what they had.

Absolutely, it is a very good low budget horror movie. It is hard to do something interesting with zombies these
days. I thought 28 weeks later was even better.

As a rule of thumb if Ron P doesn't like a movie it is probably worth checking out. He has some **** taste in
