Rm 6750,is it better to connect speakers directly into receiver or use the sub-woofer?

    Does your AVR support multiple crossover points? I.E. if you can set the crossover at 150hz or so, I would plug them into the AVR. if not, I would plug them into the sub.

    Polk recommends the sub method, but I think that was before multiple crossover points in AVR's became mainstream. (just my opinion of course)
