Got a chance to catch up with Bizill today. He got tired of you guys harrassing him all of the time and said he's not coming back until each and every one of you go to sensitivity training.

BTW...anyone watch Penn & Teller's **** on Showtime? This week's episode is on sensitivity training... instant classic.

DING, DING, DING, DING! that, and i've gotten into new and different mania's. tired of video games. hardly watch movies anymore. but besides the woman deal, my **** fishies have captivated my attention. i watch my cichlids more than tv anymore. i'm sure this too will pass until the next mania.

i'll be picking up some sda-srs from wes-i-sig/szschzleppyz-courtney tonight. so maybe i have already found my newest mania. sounds uber-expensive.

anyway, just needed a break from the policing going on around here. no offense wingnut and former officer mr nightly.:)

Cichlids are KEWL!!!! I miss my Oscars, Jacks, Firemouths, and Convicts. They are fun fish to watch, especially when they have a face off. Do you feed them Rosie Reds or Guppies? Mine would jump out of the water to take one out of my fingers.

well, i'm keeping two frontosa with my other mbuna cichlids and it's a bad mix. i'm still gettin' my learn on... but for now, they are doing well. love the pool filter sand substrate and so do they. they scoop it up like a bulldozer in their cute little mouths and then swim up and release it. cool as hell.

for now i just feed 'em hikari gold sinking ciclid pellets. some freeze-dried mysis shrimp. sometimes they peck away at algae flakes. the baby cichlids are just babies, so their 'ferociousness' has yet to emerge. only like ten fish in total right now. plan on upwards of 30 for my size tank. minimizes aggression.

i finally talked myself out of going saltwater and opted for this setup instead!!!

my tank is 72" x 18" at small ends and bows out to 24" in the middle x 24" tall. that frontosa is about 10"-11" long. plenty 'o room to house many more.

chevy, if WWIII hits, you could always fry that catfish up and survive an extra week or two! big-**** cat right there.

I gave up on fish keeping when I figured out how much of a money/time sink it was. I might have a different take on it if I was living in a place I knew I would be at for a long time. Luckily I gave up before I went in the salt water direction.

lol so I've been told. That effer has jumped out of my tank twice now. He was out for about 15 minutes the first time and had no trouble after being put bank. Hardy fish!

I had anywhere from 12-15 S.American cichlids in a 75 gallon long tank. My Pleco was 14" long.....looked VERY prehistoric:cool:. When it would come out from behind the log I had in there, the chicks would freakout and jump back:p. Even though my male Oscar was HUGE it didn't seem to freak the girlies out like the "MONSTER fish".:p:eek:
