Velodyne ULD-12

Are the old Velodyne ULD-12s any good? I realize that it's all subjective, but i guess my question is:

Would i see a large improvement moving to one of these vs. my two S8s?

    The ULDs were very good, but had foam surrounds...pass.

    Combo rig:

    Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)

    ^That's all i needed. :)

    So suffice to say, i'm doing well enough with my dual S8s at the moment, to really not worry about it until i have the monies to step up to a badass SVS or something equivalent?
