just curious if you think there would be a benefit to having two sets of front speakers on a HT set up? I have a chance to pick up a pair of rti8s real cheap. I am moving and the new room where the gear is going isnt really designed for 7.1 but i have a pretty big area up front. I figure since the amp is doin all the work and the denon can be bi amped for a set of fronts i kinda have all that power being "wasted" anyway i thought how about another set of front speakers and maybe i can just space them out for more "presence" or is it just a waste?

    Waste.

You don't want to do that. Phasing, and lobing issues be detrimental to SQ(sound quality).
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

    +1

I also think that the phasing issues will hurt sound quality.

Edit: But why is it that in commercial theaters, many front speakers are used?
