amp suggestion

a friend of mine recently buy a subwoofer kicker S18X2, he is competing in SPL...

the sub is 10, 000 RMS but he is planing on buy at least a 5,000 RMS at 2 ohms amp, the voltage most be between 12 and 14.4v, did anyone here is into SPL and could help us?

that will be hard to do. the kicker warhorse will do 10,000 watts into 2 ohms, but thats overkill.

Most SPL competitors are getting their power at less than half an ohm. Youre going to be hard pressed to find an amp like that, when you do, its going to be expensive as hell.
