RE: Viper AV Cables

Hey guys; I've been looking at upgrading from bare 12 AWG wire from monoprice to something a bit 'classier', and I stumbled across ViperAV. Has anyone heard of them? I've read some reviews and they seem positive, just wondering if any Polkies have used them / heard of them. Thanks.

That's quit the length for the price, you need a 12 meter pair? Personally, I wouldn't think they'd be much different than what you have, probably look nicer.
I'd get custom lengths to what you need, and Signal cable is a good place to grab something "classier". BTW, there are some very nice PS audio cables in the FM right now. -
Thanks, I know I'll need at least one really long pair for my surrounds for next year, living room is 22x13. Signal cables look cool, I just think they're a bit expensive.
It's probably just 'upgrade-itus a bit; but the clear jacketed copper wire running along the wall is starting to bug me; sounds great, just looks fuggly and a pain in the **** with no terminations. -
Anyone else have any opinions? Are boutique speaker cables just for show then? Maybe I'll just stick with getting some bananas and be done with it.

Some boutique stuff is for show and some sounds good. I have found that the 12 AWG monoprice is pretty quality stuff and you won't find better quality until you are ready to lay down some good money. Making your own cables is still you best bang for the buck like Las said. Let me know if you are interested in the cable DIY and I can point you in a few directions.

I bought a set of VIPERAV cables off of ebay. They are heavy, look nice, and seem to work pretty well. You can also find some nice cables used off of ebay. Make sure if you use the VIPERAV cable they are for ground runs. If you run them to atop of a cabinet, the weight of the cable may pull the speaker off the cabinet. Good luck.[ -

Yah, shoot me a PM or another post. Thanks. -
PM sent.
That Viper stuff looks like it could have potential and with decent reviews, why not try it for the ebay price.
