Is sound quality affected if these speakers are laid on their sides???

    Yes, they are designed to stand up and I think laying them on their side would effect imaging at the very least. You can let your ears decide though if you can try them on their side either at the store or at home.

    I was actually going to do this myself with my RTiA1's for my surround. I bought some omni mount brackets that can swivel and turn. Now I will have to see if it sounds bad to do this. I wonder why they make these mounts to be able to do this if its not supposed to be done?
