Where are the WB cartoons?

When's the last time you saw a Roadrunner cartoon? How 'bout Tweety, Sylvester and even Bugs and Daffy? All these frickkin' cable channels including the natural fit "Boomerang" and no WB cartoons? What a scam! Boomerang has the gall to show Dexters Lab and Johnny Bravo but no WB? Poppycock! I understand Speedy Gonzalez is gone for good as it has been determined to be showing Hispanics in a detrimental form. OK, no biggee, didn't like it much anyway. I have this hope that it's all being converted to its original aspect ratio in 16/9 Hi-def as we speak.............probably not. I want my cartoons! And I want the Stooges back on too. If these suck **** channels can repeat their crap all week long, even in the same day, they can find room for these classics! I remember when I was a kid the TV guide had a little (R) next to a show that was a repeat. Three of four shows would have that (R) these days. I bet if no repeats were shown the several hundred channels on cable and SAT would be reduced to about 40! OK I'm done..........

    I've been buying up all the Looney Toons DVDs I can find, not just for me, but for my kids,too. I want them to know what REAL cartoons are all about.

    The kids today are stuck with Pokemon and **** like that.:rolleyes:

    Even if you do find them on TV they are usually so hacked up that it make them frustrating to watch.

    They pulled Speedy Gonzalez because of what?????? You've got to be kidding me. This is just another sad day of a politically correct **** society we live in. If anything, Speedy G was the opposite.

    It could be just overexposure. For a while, cable channels were
    running them non-stop. Same with Gilligan's Island and others.
    Each gets run into the dirt, shelved awhile, and put back into circulation.
    Non-PC would be the really old stuff. Some of those were really bad.
    And what was Popeye always mumbling? Didn't J. Edgar Hoover
    look into that?( and Louie Louie by the Kingsmen).
    Of course, some of the new stuff goes out there. The Grim adventures
    of Billy and Mandy is waaaaaay out there.

    I'd almost guarantee it's just simple money. Way more kids out there watching TV who want to see all the newer junk, as opposed to the dozen of us old farts who still think Tom & Jerry is hilarious.

    It's a shame, but whatcha gonna do? At least we got DVDs.

    I agree with all of the above. Another show that has not been re-run is The Muppets. Whatever happened to them? They have dropped off the face of the planet. I have purchase all of the movies for my daughters and they are great, but I really miss the shows with Animal, Kermit, Beeker and the two old guys in the balcony!

    Best cartoons ever, I buy them every chance I get. this was my Saturday cartoon along with smurfs as a young kid.
