I was curious whether anyone on the forum has one of these bad boys in their system. I went into an A/V store in town yesterday and the salesman said that this thing puts out 1000 watts at 4ohms. It's a little pricey at $1500 but it sounds like it could really kick butt.

Never used that specific model, but have used amps that use the same module. If you were unaware those amps use the B&O 1000ASP module. Basically the module has everything you need for it to work, all the manufacturer does is throw it in a case and add some wiring.

That said IMO the D-Sonics are a much better value at $1050 less for the same modules. A few members use those amps, Slowcar and Sheradp off the top of my head. I use and love EVS 500Ms which use the same modules, but they are modified for better performance.

I have the 2-channel version - RB-1092. This replaced a RB-1070. I am very happy with this technology. It has been compared side-by-side with a RB-1090 & Classe' CAP2100 integrated. The RB-1092 was the winner by the 'panel' reviewing. To surpass this amps capabilities would require spending 3X the $$$.
