Has the look of the forum changed? It has on my laptop. And it is noticeably slower... Just wondering if its the laptop or the forum.

Haven't noticed the slowness - I like the new look though. Much cleaner.

Though, per this thread, it has had SOME ill effects.

EDIT : Hmm, and I also notice that links don't show up as links unless you put your mouse over them (at least in Firefox).
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

There was slowness yesterday. Everytime I opened a thread it would download between 100-300 items before the page would load completely. It doesn't seem to be doing that anymore.

Some header changes, etc. Nothing earth shattering. It still does the "double pump" when refreshing the page after a post. That's annoying. It is the same for all VBulletin software. They need to fix that ****.

The forum is killing my speed right now and I'm running off a T1. The new look also looks unprofessional if not juvenile in design.

It appears to be running at the same speed for me.

As for it's looks, IMO it's a little cleaner.

So where's the option for avatars?

Haha, such a small change and such vehement opinions about it.

I assume the slowness some people get is your browser caching up some images and graphics the first few times you visit, I would hope it would pass. I still haven't seen any speed slowness on any of the 3 PCs I visit with.

The change is subtle but nice. Haven't noticed any change in speed.

Good job Justin and whoever is involved.

Hmmm, are you a designer? I'll pass your comments to the designer.

I haven't had any speed issues.

I'm still a little undecided on the new look. I like the font they chose for the usernames, but it just doesn't seem to match the rest of the page. Maybe a color change is in order.

Oh well. As long as it works, I'll live.

Justin for what it's worth, the font that you are using right now makes it harder to read. Still readable....just a little bit more difficult to actually see. For me anyways.

Speed is fine here. Using Firefox.

I happen to love everything... except for the new font. It is a bit harder to read. However, the screenname font is bad arse. Good work.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

He may be just using the default font whilst working on other stuff. Maintaining a forum is the real royal PIA. I just wanted to let him know wuzzz'up.

Speed issues aside. I don't need to be a designer to know what looks like ****. The new fonts suck. The grey tabs across the top look clumsy and the 866 phone number looks hoakie. What's with all the negative space between the grey forum box and the tabs? The designer failed Justin. He failed bad . . .

The distinct fonts in particular is what made this forum easy on the eyes. Please don't mess with the colors or contrast either. This is the best forum on the net in terms of ease of use.

Agreed, it is harder to read.

I haven't noticed any slowdown, but I get "internet explorer cannot load this page" quite often when I use the back button. Not happening on any other website.

I wonder if he is trying to save space on the server? It has now changed back, at least on this thread.

I changed the font for the forums back to verdana, that should help some of you older guys :D

I don't mind the look, but it's slowing down my PC and my MAC. See where it says Done in the lower left hand corner of your browser after a page is loaded? Well, before the page load it downloads like 400 items before this thread will finally open.

    What's up with that?
