Well . . . those amps were great. The only thing that lasted longer are the speakers. Those I love.

I have to say with all honesty. I love two components in my setup. My Dodd Battery Preamp and my Emerald Physics CS2s.

A guy in my apartment has the Emotiva XPA-5. For shats and giggles we hooked it up to my system. First impression was "Whoa." I looked at my friend who is running a Klipsch 5.1 system with this amp and his face was kinda expressionless. He said, "I didn't know that amp could sound that good." It's funny the bass really had more presence and the musicality was remarkably better. We've spent the last couple days listening and the results really are the same. The bass is tight yet powerful no congestion or resonance at all. The midrange is more liquid and ironically more tube-like. The upper range has even shaved off a hint of brightness that I didn't even know was really there until it was gone.

So . . . sold the Bel Cantos and bought a pair of XPA-2s. 30-Day warranty? What do I have to lose? And, I put a few bucks in my pocket.

If all else fails, I know at least that Class A/B or even Class A is where I need to be. I tried to embrace the new amp technologies, but they just have not caught up yet. At least at these prices . . . .

If you thought the XPA-5 sounded good, the XPA-2 is in a totally different league. The bass and dynamics is like a category 5 hurricane. It's gonna blow you away.

Once you get your ears on the XPA-2, let us know how they compare to the Odyssey gear.

Do you think two will be enough?? Thats only 1000wpc. You might need a couple more too really get the most out of your system.:D

I haven't even got my rig together yet and you've already got me thinking about selling my Odyssey for one of these.... I'm not...... But the thought has entered my mind. If you come over and the Emo blows the Odyssey out of the water. It will be for sale on A-gon and the forum before you know it.

How long before you get them?? When I ordered my LMC-1 they had it here in 24 hours.. I think there located somewhere in Tennessee if I'm not mistaken.

Emotiva says it will be here around 4 days. I'm not actually running each sub bridged. My speakers require biamplification because they have no internal crossover. The amps will be setup in a vertical biamplification formation. That essentially means that each speaker has its own stereo amp. In my case, the left channels power the tweeters and the right channels power the woofers.

I'm really excited to hear the diffeence in my system with these amps and the difference between the Khartago and the XPA-2.

The XPA-2 is a very nice amp. I would describe the sound a flat (No excess coloring of the highs or lows.) with power. Flat in a very good way, that will allow your pre and sources the be the components that develop the sound you like.
