I am looking for some vintage nakamichi items. I am trying to put together a set of the 7 series: amp pa7 aii, cd player oms 7 aii, pre amp ca7 aii. I would consider the older pa7 items also (without the a or a2 designation). thanks Joe

I have a complete set of Nakamichi 7 Series Equipment For Sale. I am the original purchaser and have enjoyed the system for 20 years. All pieces are in good condition and in working order.

Audiogon has (2) CA7 pre's an ST7 tuner and OMS 7 cdp. Love the Nak stuff of this era owned some of it sold a lot of it when new. Hardest problem is sourcing parts (not so much for the amps). Try getting the OEM relay for the CA7 pre-amp. None of the laser pick-ups can be bought anymore and Nak had a special tool for laser alignment. I have a DOA OMS4 in the closet for that reason.

Hey heiney, is the same true for the pre I just bought from you?

No sir! The CA 5 doesn't have switching relays. The relays are for switching sources via the remote control and are only in the CA 7. I had a chance to buy a couple CA 7's over the years for decent money but avoided them for this reason. They don't prematurely fail, but when they do I've been told the owner is SOL since Nak stopped making parts or ceased to exist about 10 years ago or more.

Most everything else in the Stasis Amps and the pre's can be sourced from other manufacturer's, etc. The CDP's are another area you'll either have to rig it or you're SOL.
